How a typical session runs
Structure without rigidity.
Most in-person sessions begin while there is still some daylight, allowing participants to set up equipment and review the evening's target list before darkness falls. As the sky darkens, the group moves through a short orientation covering visible bright stars and planets, followed by open time for individual telescope practice, photography attempts or simply naked-eye observation with guidance available nearby.
Sessions typically run two to three hours depending on weather and interest, and end with a brief recap of what was observed. No prior registration history or completed coursework is required to attend.
